Space and bespoke deployments
Where pnCCD technology has travelled, with long-term partners.
We are proud of the range of environments where pnCCD sensor and CAMEX readout technology has been successfully deployed. These achievements are the result of long-standing partner projects in space science and large-scale research infrastructure, often developed outside standard product frameworks.
While these systems are not PNDetector products, the underlying pnCCD technology and expertise were developed through close collaboration between research institutes, PNSensor, and teams whose experience now resides within PNDetector.
Selected partner projects
Key Feaures
-
XMM-Newton (ESA)
The EPIC-pn instrument uses pnCCD technology for space-borne X-ray imaging and spectroscopy. -
eROSITA (SRG mission)
A seven-camera focal plane based on pnCCD sensors with CAMEX readout electronics. -
European XFEL
Large-area pnCCD detectors deployed at free-electron laser endstations, including megapixel-scale implementations. -
LCLS (SLAC)
pnCCD detectors integrated into demanding FEL beamline geometries, including configurations with central beam apertures.
These projects, developed together with our partners, continue to push pnCCD sensor and CAMEX readout technology further. We are proud of what has already been achieved and look forward to what future collaborations may bring.
