The XRF Spectrometer for science and lab (XRS)
The XRS
is the operation platform for our SDD Modules and supports the full functionality of our Complete or Standard Module series. It is designed for applications in microanalysis and in X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) analysis in laboratories and industry. Individually preset system parameters in combination with the right choice of SDD module type lead to optimum performance and reliability in the respective application area.
Key Features
-
High resolution detector system for use with Digital Pulse Processor (DPP).
-
Available with active areas up to 100 mm² for high solid angle.
-
Vacuum tight detector snout for easy adaption to vacuum chambers.
-
Second Peltier for improved heat dissipation at higher temperatures.
-
Pressure and temperature monitoring for completely controllable SDD module conditions and Getter reactivation option for extension of module vacuum life time.

Further Spectrometer Components
-
Supply Unit - XRU V2.0 (11V)
supplies the operation voltages needed to operate the XRS, controls the cooling and monitors the sensors for chip temperature.
-
Digital Pulse Processor - DPP 110
generates the spectrum from the analogue XRS output signal. Four operation modes are possible: Single Spectrum, Mapping, Fast LIST and LIST-Map Modes, with or without triggering.
