Advanced Timing and Synchronisation
Precise timing control and external instrument synchronisation for every experiment
The CXC System provides advanced timing and synchronisation features to coordinate data acquisition with external instruments or experimental events.
Dedicated hardware trigger and gate inputs, together with software-based synchronisation tools, enable precise frame alignment and experiment coordination.
All functions are accessible through the hardware interfaces, the PNCamSuite user interface or API commands, allowing the CXC to operate as either a timing master or a synchronised device within complex experimental setups.
Key Features
-
Synchronise the CXC camera with external devices through trigger and gate inputs
-
Operate in synchronous trigger mode to capture one frame per external event
-
Use gate input to include or exclude frames during defined measurement periods
-
Provide a frame-synchronous output signal to control other instruments or shutters
-
Combine trigger and gate modes for complex timing sequences and pulsed operation
-
Coordinate scans directly through the PNCamSuite Scan function or API
-
Record sub-cubes for each scan step with minimal dead time between positions
-
Integrate timing and synchronisation control through the programmable API for automated workflows
