Close the gap between the fastest detection speed and the low signal operation in your SEM with PNDetector’s Switchable Gain Advanced BSD. State of the art scanning electron microscopes (SEMs) offer a broad spectrum of applications from high scan speeds to low signal operations. The Switchable Gain Advanced BSD allows you to scan your sample using this whole spectrum with the highest image qualities just by a single device. There is no need to reduce the scan speed for high gain settings or the low keV performance in high speed applications. A simple switch between this two different gain settings is enough to get all you need.

SEM image taken by Switchable Gain Advanced BSD at high speed mode with 30 keV beam energy. The gain setting of 1e + 05 V/A has been applied in this mode
SEM image taken by Switchable Gain Advanced BSD at high gain mode with 0.6 keV beam energy. The gain setting of 2e + 06 V/A has been applied in this mode
Particle analysis application: SEM images taken at high and very low beam energies just by a single click on the gain settings of the Switchable Gain Advanced BSD Software. There is no smearing effects between single pixels in single frame shots at high energies.
Bio science application: observe beam sensitive samples with superior quality. SEM image taken from a biological tissue at 1 keV beam energy
Two gain settings with values of 1e+05 V/A for high speed applications and 2e+06 V/A for low energy applications. They can be adjusted easily by PND’s Switchable Gain Advanced BSD
